torange’s gift: cork brick / wine cooler

this gift is part of  a line of products/prototypes which will be developed for the gift shop testing how heated cork can if at all become a viable material to create a product.
Prototype 1
this was the first test which revealed the problems of the cork material from  releasing soot and dust to brittle material condition which will need to be dealt with in  prototype 2. the journal will follow the life of the gift as well as the development of the product.

it is hoped that if the product is perfected it has the potential to be used as part of the refurbishment at the living quarter of east mount street.
