claire’s gift: case

case was found in a junk shop in glasgow’s west end. i was looking for something that would exchange well, to give it legs so to speak. the case seemed ideal as hopefully it will travel, being both practical for the user and fulfilling my ambitions that it will move from person to person with each new owner documenting its travel, ownership and use. i took the battered old thing and lined it with new brown paper, making it fresh for the owner. i hope that the paper is written upon, marked with stickers and stamps – please photograph this and send it to us. there are no real stipulations around the case only that it should keep being exchanged – becoming a perpetual gift.

the case is old and it would be nice to know where it’s been – it may have only been to the scottish seaside once a year but we’ll never know.
