When construction firm Skanska assumed the role of estate management at The Royal London hospital site Fred Williamson joined their workforce. Over the years he has worked on every area of the hospital, both inside and out. Repair and decoration work is ongoing and due to the size of the hospital, maintenance like painting is a year round job. At present Fred cycles from and to his home in Plaistow each day but at the end of this year he will take retirement after 23 years at the hospital.
