about frontal

frontal creates paintings from the imaginary films showing on our internal screens, realized using airbrush.

the source material is a reflection of everything we see and experience around us, every day: TV, radio, advertising, by phone and on the high street… How it is interpreted and processed depends on the individual. frontal’s work does not project dreamscapes, rather seems to capture the moment at which we allow our perception of the outside world to fade and be replaced by our own thoughts, images and ideas displayed on our internal screen in moving 3D.

frontal uses the airbrush, a tool traditionally used in the creation of movie posters before the computer, to depict the posters of his own very personal films.
