“the shower’s in god’s sketchbook”
we started setting up god’s sketchbook on sunday, and brothers fairhead have been making like michelangelo and the sistine chapel all over the walls of the gift shop ever since.
the great thing about having a gallery effectively in your front room is that walking through your front door during changeover is like coming home to narnia. especially so with god’s sketchbook. i’ve been super excited about this residency and i adore the creatures and stuff they’ve come up with. some of which i am told actually exist (narwhal? really? really!)
since i saw the ‘mountains‘ pic i’ve had the dionne warwick song in my head (you know ‘what the world needs now / / / lord we don’t need another mountain’) and been unable to get beyond it to do a post.
and the silly thing about having a gallery effectively in your ’space under construction’ (or in our house i should say) is that sometimes the bath is in the ktichen, and, you guessed it, the shower is in the shop.
prepare to be amused on thursday.
